Demographic Data for PERT Class Participants

Participants in the PERT Classes were comprised of 108 licensed staff and 61 nursing assistants.

These participants were culturally diverse; only 59% of the entire group identified themselves as Caucasian. In addition, about one-fourth of the participants had primary languages other than English.

In general, the nurses and nursing assistants participating in the PERT Classes had many years of LTC experience; 74% had worked in long-term care (LTC) for 6 or more years. Many participants (61%) had been at the same facility for at least 3 years. The following table summarizes the demographic information.
