THROUGH FOLIC ACID EDUCATION
ONLINE CME COURSE
JOINTLY SPONSORED BY SWEDISH MEDICAL CENTER AND THE
MARCH OF DIMES
Course Description:
This course is designed to
enhance the understanding of preconceptual folic acid supplementation
amongst health care professionals and to effectively identify
under-educated patient populations.
We expect learners to develop

guidelines of leading health agencies such as the CDC and NIH pertaining
to folic acid use.

sources, limitations, and necessary timing of education.
- Familiarize oneself with the recommendations and
goals of various partnered public health agencies in educating women
of childbearing age on the importance of folic acid.

health educator on the topic of folic acid in preconception care.
